Zendaya has revealed her major inspiration for her latest role in the highly-anticipated film Challengers.

While conversing with PEOPLE on the red carpet event of her upcoming film directed by Luca Guadagnino, at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, the Dune: Part 2 star shared her on-screen motivation to play the character of mom.

She gave appreciation to "the mothers in my life and around me" for supporting her in her role as former tennis prodigy turned instructor Tashi Duncan.

Zendaya mentioned throughout the conversation that she has had some experience over the years.

The Euphoria star further added, “I have many, many nieces and nephews, so they’re like my borrowed children, you know? I get to have fun and give them back to their parents.”

She continued, “But I’m definitely inspired by how they tackle and take on motherhood.”

Zendaya finds herself in the center of a passionate love triangle involving her husband (Mike Faist) and ex-boyfriend (Josh O'Connor) in the romantic sports comedy.

The official synopsis stated that Challengers revolves around “three players who knew each other when they were teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament to be the world-famous grand slam winner and reignite old rivalries on and off the court.”

Challengers is slated for the premiere in theaters on April 26.
