Dhanashree Verma’s gets ‘emotional’ on Instagram amid divorce from Yuzvendra Chahal

Dhanashree Verma has been making headlines recently because of her divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal.

Taking to Instagram on Women’s Day she posted, “God is within her, she will not fall.” 

In the caption, she reiterated that women should stay fearless, strong, and patient, adding, “Things will get better for us soon.” 

Quite a few fans speculated that Dhanashree’s post was an undercover hint at her recent separation from Yuzvendra Chahal.

Displaying the attributes of a strong woman, Dhanashree was spotted at Mumbai Airport, smiling as she flew off for work commitments, two weeks ago. 

When asked about her condition, she simply laughed and said, “Kaam pe jaa rahi hu” (I’m going to work). She also posed for a picture with a fan.

According to the Times of India, Dhanashree demanded 60 crore Indian rupees as alimony from Chahal but the former’s family denied such claims.

“No such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or offered.” They urged the media to fact-check and avoid spreading misinformation.

For those unversed, according to ABP News, Chahal and Dhanashree's divorce proceedings began in February 2025, with the couple filing for divorce at the Bandra Family Court in Mumbai.

The couple met during the COVID-19 lockdown when Chahal took dance lessons from Dhanashree. Their relationship blossomed quickly, and they got engaged in August 2020 before tying the knot a few months later.
