Meghan Markle pays subtle nod to Queen on St. Patrick's Day celebration
Queen Elizabeth gifted a waffle maker to Archie

Meghan Markle has shared a treat she made for Prince Archie's and Princess Lilibet on St. Patrick's Day celebration.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, proudly showcased her green waffles adorned with her children’s favourite fruits, blueberries and kiwi.
She made another version for her husband, Prince Harry, which had strawberries and whipped cream on it.
She captioned the post “Happy St. Patrick’s day,” showcasing her family traditions shined through.
Notably, there was perhaps a more subtextual significance behind the meal. Prince Harry told The Late Late Show that Archie was given a waffle maker for Christmas from the late Queen Elizabeth.
For Christmas, Meghan claimed that she wanted a waffle maker. To which Queen Elizabeth gifted a waffle maker stating, “My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker.” Harry further recalled, “She sent us a waffle maker for Archie… breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix and throws it in the waffle iron.”
This assumption suggests that Meghan Markle paid as a subtle tribute the monarch.
