Princess Eugenie celebrated this Mother’s Day on Sunday, March 30, by sharing previously unseen photograph from her son, Ernest’s christening.

While it is still not known where the ceremony had taken place, it is understood that the event likely occurred before the royal kid’s first birthday which was due in May 2024.

The Princess of York included the snap on the third slide of her Mother’s Day post on Instagram.

Dressed in the traditional cream-coloured christening gown, Ernest can be seen lounging in his mother’s arms, while his grandmother Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, flashed a grinning thumbs-up as she hovered above the mother and son.

“Happy Mother’s Day from this proud mama and daughter xxxx,” the Princess captioned her post, complete with four x symbols which denote kisses, and two pink heart emojis.

The post also displayed the happy family’s celebrations on Mother’s Day, with the first snap showing the Princess reading a storybook to her two boys.

A second slide which included a handmade Mother’s Day card cut in the shape of a heart and addressed to her, as it said, “Mama Happy Day”.

While the details about Ernest’s christening are not well known, Eugenie’s eldest son August was christened at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor during November of 2021.

Eugenie had her eldest baptised alongside her cousin, Zara Tindall’s son, Lucas, in a joint ceremony.

Princess Eugenie shares her two sons, August and Ernest, with her marketing executive husband, Jack Brooksbank, whom she had married in October 2018.
