Joe Keery has made major claim ahead of 'Stranger Things' release

Joe Keery, who in the music industry is professionally known as Djo, gained immense popularity after starring as Steve Harrington in Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things. 

Ahead of the release of the fifth and final season of the sci-fi horror series, the 33-year-old star made an appearance on the Zach Sang Show, on April 23, expressing how the role of Steve felt like a "gift" to him.

During the discussion about the fan favourite series, the 31-year-old host questioned Joe if it felt strange to be possibly known for only one iconic role in the future.

The End of Beginning hitmaker wasted no time to respond, and nonchalantly expressed, "I mean what a gift it's been to do it. There's a part of me, obviously, that is like 'No, I'm more than just that.' But I don't know, I'm kind of okay with that."

"If that's all, I mean, what an insane ride that has been," he continued, adding, "But I guess now it puts me in this place of privilege to be able to just chase the things I'm really interested in doing."

The Free Guy actor went on to reveal that apart from his music, he wants to continue his work in the film industry and is on the lookout for "interesting projects."
