The Met Gala, 2025 is scheduled for Monday, May 5, is all set to welcome a star-studded lineup of celebrities ready to showcase their fashion game.
Despite being the most high-profile fashion event of the year, not every star enjoys attending it.
Following is the list of celebrities who hate attending the event.
Jennifer Garner

The Daredevil actress didn’t enjoy the time being at the Met Gala. She attended the event first time in 2007 and since then she never planned to go back.
"I went to the Met ball exactly one time. I found it a little scary, so I haven’t been back," Garner candidly shared her thoughts and experiences about the event."
Amy Schumer

The actress and comedian attended the Met Gala in 2016 were she wore a custom-made Alexander Wang low cut red gown.
Speaking to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio, she referred the event as a "punishment", adding, "We’re dressed up like a bunch of f****** a*******."
Tina Fey

The only time Fey attended the Met ball was in 2010, describing the event as a "jerk parade."
Speaking to David Letterman in 2015, she said, "Clearly, I’ll never go again, but you go and it’s this beautiful space and it’s just every jerk from every walk of life is there wearing some stupid thing."
Gwyneth Paltrow

The Iron Man actress also didn’t have a blast at the fashion parade as she confessed that she hated being there.
Paltrow spoke to USA Today in 2013, saying that the event "sucked."
She added, "It seems like it’s the best thing in the world … and then you get there and it’s so hot and it’s so crowded and everyone’s pushing you."
Irrespective of her bad review, she still showed up at the Met Gala 2017 and 2019.
Demi Lovato

The Heart Attack singer attended the Met Gala first time in 2016.
She reminisced, saying, "I had a terrible experience. This one celebrity was a complete b**** and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey. I remember being so uncomfortable that I wanted to drink."
Zayn Malik

The former One Direction band member attended his first and only Met Gala in 2016 with his former partner Gigi Hadid.
Speaking to GQ of how the event went, he shared how he would rather prefer "sitting" at his house, doing something productive, than dressing up in really expensive clothes and being photographed on a red carpet.
"To do the self-indulgent 'Look at me,' 'I'm amazing' thing on the red carpet, it’s not me," Malik shared his opinion.
Billie Eilish

The singer attended her first–ever Met Gala in 2021.
She shared her insights, saying, "It’s nuts. It's famous people famous people-ing. That’s what it is." (sic)
The Bad Guy hitmaker added, "You know what, the main thing that night made me think or feel was how famous people are just literally nobodies. Just randos, and it’s so weird." (sic)
Regardless of her experience, she has returned to the event many times since then.
SZA

The Kill Bill singer revealed that she "hated" her outfit at the 2022 Met Gala which took a toll on her mental health and ultimately turned the night into a negative experience for her.
