A$AP Rocky makes bold reference to gun trial at 2025 Met Gala

A$AP Rocky, co-chair at the 2025 Met Gala, stunned onlookers with a dazzling look which he claimed to have curated himself.

“This is literally designed by me,” Rihanna’s beau told Vogue about his outfit at the event.

Described as “a classic black suit, a Marmot jacket and a plethora of shimmering accessories” by Page Six, the 36-year-old music star completed the look with one rather peculiar accessory.

He carried a customised umbrella from private jewellery atelier Briony Raymond, encrusted with several 90-carat diamonds, and a handle in the shape of a gun.

It was quickly theorised that the Praise the Lord rapper was making a bold statement about his gun trial, from which he was acquitted back in February of this year.

For the unversed, Rocky stood for a month-long trial due to his involvement in a shooting incident from 2021, concerning the death of his childhood friend and bandmate A$AP Relli.

Following his acquittal, he famously embraced his girlfriend Rihanna, who supported him in person at a Los Angeles courtroom.

While the singer and entrepreneur did not join the father of her children on the Met carpet, she did debut her baby bump in a sleek look of her own.

A$AP Rocky co-chaired this year’s Met Gala alongside fellow artists Colman Domingo and Pharrell Williams, as well as athletes LeBron James and Lewis Hamilton.
