Meghan Markle debuted a brand new episode from her ongoing podcast series Confessions of a Female Founder today, on May 6, where she dropped a bombshell as she welcomed a new entrepreneur on the show.

Hannah Mendoza, founder of caffeine brand Clevr Blends, joined the 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex for another episode where they had a candid conversation, covering a host of topics.

However, it was a peculiar admission by Meghan herself which stopped listeners in their tracks.

She revealed that during both of her pregnancies with Archie and Lilibet, she employed the services of an Ayurvedic medic.

"During my pregnancies, I had an Ayurvedic doctor and so much of it was about seeing food as medicine," she shared.

Notably, Ayurvedic treatment is a traditional Indian practice which champions balance between body, mind, and spirit in stark contrast over conventional medical treatments.

The former actress and her guest further discussed usage of "adaptogens" like various mushrooms as a form of health treatment.

“I think a lot of people when they hear mushrooms, they go ‘Okay, she’s talking about being hippie-dippy, grounded in all these things,’” the mother-of-two said.

However, she also explained her choice by adding, "If you aren’t familiar with adaptogens, you can go to this place of ‘Oh, it’s feeling a little psychedelic and super woo-woo.’”

It is important to note that adaptogens are natural extracts from non-toxic plants which can be taken to reduce anxiety and stress.

Meghan Markle’s confession about her pregnancies coincides with her eldest, Prince Archie’s sixth birthday which is today, on May 6.
