Renowned leaker suggests GTA IV Remaster might be released this year

In a surprising turn of events, rumours are circulating about a potential Grand Theft Auto (GTA) IV Remaster edition, which might be released before the end of 2025.

According to tipster Tez2 on the GTA forums, a Rockstar Games insider hinted at a possible port of the 2008 classic title for modern consoles, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The speculation gained traction after the Liberty City Preservation Project mod was taken down, which some believe could be linked to Rockstar's plans to revive GTA 4.

Additionally, Tez2 noted that if Rockstar's schedules remain intact, a Max Payne 3 port might happen after the potential GTA IV Remaster.

Moreover, a remastered GTA 4 could serve as a precursor to GTA 6, scheduled for release on May 26, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

To note, GTA IV is set in Liberty City, a fictional representation of New York City, which is also the origin of Lucia, a character from GTA 6.

While there is no official confirmation, Instant Gaming has listed a "Grand Theft Auto IV Remastered" for PC with a release date of 2025.
