Jennifer Lopez gives rare look into life with her kids

Jennifer Lopez gave a rare glimpse into her life as she opens up about the sweet and special bond she has with her two children.

Despite being a global pop-icon, the 55-year-old star’s 17-year-old twins Max and Emme, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, don’t always see their mom, who is set to host and perform at the American Music Awards on May 26, as a celebrity.

During her candid chat with E! News, the Can’t Get Enough hitmaker explained how her kids only see her as a mother, saying, "I'm so just mom to them that they don’t really get involved with my work too."

She even revealed that they are yet to know about her AMAs gig, sharing, "They don't even know I'm doing the American Music Awards. I have to fill them in when we're having dinner."

With senior year around the corner, Jennifer revealed that Max and Emme are currently concentrating and putting their energy towards graduation and preparing for college.

"We’re talking more about school," the The Boy Next Door actress shared.

Continuing, "We’re talking about their friends at school and their homework and making sure they're getting their stuff done. That's our conversations, and how they're doing and how they're feeling and all that."

The On The Floor singer says that her children don’t make a big deal out of her celebrity status or her performances and simply see it as "Mom going to work."
