Duchess Sophie has been seen supporting Prince William and King Charles during the last two days
King Charles's sister-in-law, Duchess Sophie, on Saturday stood in for him before the monarch arrived at the Royal Windsor Flower.
The wife of Prince Edward opened the show and was pictured embracing her brother-in-law upon his arrival.
The Buckingham Palace also released a picture of the Duchess cutting the ribbon to open the show.
Sharing multiple photos of the king and the Duchess of Edinburgh, the royal family's statement on Instagram said, "The King, as Patron, and The Duchess of Edinburgh were at the Royal Windsor Flower Show this morning."
It said, "The theme for this year’s show, held at Windsor Great Park, is ‘Patterns in Nature’ inspired by His Majesty’s book ‘Harmony: A New Way Of Looking At Our World’"
The statement added, "The Duchess was joined by gardener Alan Titchmarsh, who is Honorary President of The Royal Windsor Rose & Horticultural Society, to officially open the Show."
