King Charles saves ‘secret’ royal tradition for his three grandchildren
George, Charlotte, and Louis will inherit the King’s favourite royal sanctuary

King Charles remains incredibly fond of his three grandchildren from his eldest son, Prince William, and a new documentary has now made the revelation that the children are set to inherit one of their grandfather’s favourite royal homes.
The program titled Birkhall: The King’s Secret Sanctuary delves deeper into the reasons why this particular residence near the Balmoral Castle is so dear to the King and his plans for the future of the place.
First of all, the current British monarch spent many blissful days as a child at Birkhall, where he played to his heart’s content alongside his maternal grandmother, the Queen Mother.
Moreover, the place is often considered his and Queen Camilla’s real “marital home”, as the King proposed to his now-wife at Birkhall.
Therefore, Charles is particularly insistent about preserving this royal home, which has been in the family since the time of his mother and her sister’s childhood, for the next generation of his family.
Royal expert Mark Lane shared, “Just to think that Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret used to play there, have a wonderful time there, and now all the rest of the grandchildren can continue to play in the garden I think is a wonderful thing.”
In addition, Lane revealed that the place also has a “bouncing bridge” for the young ones’ delight, among other loads of opportunities for several outdoor activities.
“There are small strawberries that kids can pick at the side of pathways, and he just always hopes that when Prince George has grown up, he too will love the trees and love Birkhall,” the expert concluded.
Birkhall: The King’s Secret Sanctuary promises to reveal more details about King Charles’ dear royal residence via Channel 5, where it premiered on Saturday, June 21.
