Kanye West’s festival gig in jeopardy?
Kanye West's upcoming performance in a festival could land him in hot waters

Kanye West’s future performance in upcoming festival at the Rubicon festival could be in jeopardy.
According to Dimsum Daily, a petition has been filed against the 47-year-old rapper's forthcoming performance.
The petition addressed to the mayor of Bratislava, urged to cancel the upcoming headline performance, citing West's alleged promotion of Nazi symbols, insulting “historic memory”, and, glorifying wartime violence.
The petition has garnered over 3,500 signatures in which signatories claimed that the I Wonder rapper is “one of the world’s most famous antisemites” and reference his previous sale of a T-shirt on his website featuring a swastika.
The petition also highlights his controversial song, Heil Hitler, which was released on May 8, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of Nazi Germany’s defeat in World War II.
The track includes a sample of a 1935's Adolf Hitler speech and was banned in Germany for violating laws against hate speech and extremist symbolism.
For the unversed, the Rubicon festival is set to take place in mid-July in Slovakia’s capital from July 18 to 20, and had announced Ye as an exclusive headliner.
