An excerpt obtained by People reads that the former couple’s physical chemistry couldn’t overcome Affleck’s self-destructive impulses, which may have even included cheating on Paltrow.

Moreover, the 52-year-old actor was “struggling with alcoholism and a gambling habit” throughout his relationship with the Iron Man actress.
