Tom Cruise’s ex-lover reveals truth about her relationship with him

Tom Cruise’s former girlfriend, Rebecca De Mornay, recently shared her true feelings about the actor.

For the unversed, the 63-year-old actor and the 65-year-old actress dated after meeting on the set of Risky Business in 1982.

The former couple were together for approximately two and a half years, from 1982 to 1985, long before Cruise became one of Hollywood’s acclaimed celebrities.

While promoting her new film, Saint Claire, De Mornay spoke highly of her ex when the topic of their shared project came up.

"I’m really proud of him," the Never Talk to Strangers actress told Page Six.

"He’s like, 'I am Top Gun,' and that’s what America really wanted—and he’s fulfilled it," she said, adding, "He is a brilliant, brilliant interpreter of what the zeitgeist is."

"I’m really, really proud of knowing him from when we were in the suburbs of Chicago, and knowing what he wanted and where it is now," De Mornay stated.

It is worth noting that the   Wedding Crashers performer's most recent public relationship was with Patrick O'Neal, from whom she divorced in 2002.

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise has been in the spotlight for his rumoured romance with Ana de Armas.
