Robin Williams, who passed away in 2014, was remembered by his son, Zak Pym Williams, on what would have been the late actor’s 74th birthday.

Taking to his Instagram, the 42-year-old entrepreneur commemorated his dad’s July 21 birthday with a heartfelt tribute.

“Every year, this season arrives with gravity,” he wrote, paying the tribute amid his father’s perpetual absence.

The You Can Pym CEO and co-founder further shared, “For me, grief isn’t linear. It loops and echoes. It softens, then crescendos. But alongside it lives a legacy, the kind built not from fame or recognition, but from generosity and relentless kindness.”

While his emotional caption was accompanied by his father’s still from the 1987 film, Good Morning Vietnam.

The post concluded with, “Happy birthday, Dad. Love you forever.”

Previously, Zak Williams spoke about his father’s death on The Genius Life podcast, sharing, “I was heavily drinking to manage my mental health where it created very harmful issues. I was experiencing some psychosis and when I spoke with a psychiatrist, I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.”

Meanwhile, Robin Williams passed away due to suicide on August 11, 2014, at the age of 63.
