Orlando Bloom speaks on parenting struggles after Katy Perry split
Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry reportedly went their separate ways in June 2025

English actor Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Copeland Bloom reflected on the recent drastic changes in his life, sharing how his parenting methods have shifted after reportedly parting ways with Katy Perry in June 2025.
The former couple who were engaged for six years share their four year old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom but the 48-year-old star is a father to a teenage son Flynn whom he shares with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
During his appearance on The Oprah Podcast, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor revealed the parenting 'challenges' he faces and shared that he tries to let his children grow on their own terms.
"I think my job as a parent now is to allow my children to grow without getting in their way," he said.
He added, "It's sort of like, don't get in the way of anyone else's journey. Don't let anyone get in the way of your journey, and just be grateful for the opportunities that are presented to you, and see the challenges of the dynamic that are in front of you as an opportunity for you to grow."
Orlando went on to explain that he turned to the Hoffman process to help him reach this realisation, which has since helped him respond more calmly in moments of conflict, especially with his son Flynn.
"I'm not saying I'm perfect. It's not easy at all, but it is something that without the Hoffman process, I don't think I could say I would have understood," the Troy actor stated.
Continuing, "Now, even if I am and if we come across a situation that we're in conflict about something, I can take a step back. I can let some time pass and then we can re-engage in a conversation."
