From overdoses to plane crashes, many celebrities have battled near-death experiences, often changing their perspectives on life.

Eminem

The Grammy-winning rapper nearly died following an overdose on prescription drugs back in 2007.

“I had overdosed in 2007, like, right around Christmas in 2007…I pretty much almost died. I pulled through and went home and relapsed less than a month later, and I literally shot back up to the amount of pills I was taking, shot right back up to where I overdosed,” Eminem told Access Hollywood.

He shared that the incident was a "wake-up call” for him, adding that the biggest problem is "admitting that you have a problem.”

Zac Efron

In an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in December 2017, Zac Efron revealed that things got really horrid when he decided to work out with his The Greatest Showman co-star Hugh Jackman.

“I cycled with him in London, but I’m not one to ride a bike early in the morning in traffic so it turned out to be quite dangerous,” the High School Musical alum told the host.

Zach added,” I followed Hugh around a few cars and suddenly there was a double-decker bus right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes, went under the front tire and narrowly missed death.”

Liam Hemsworth

Liam Hemsworth once shared that before he rose to fame, he had a near-death experience growing up in Australia.

“When I was a kid, one time I got my leg rope wrapped around my whole body like a ball, under water,” The Hunger Games star told Men’s Health.

Liam added, “I couldn’t get up. I was in waist-deep water, but I almost drowned. You know, I’ve had it a few times.”

Travis Barker

Travis Barker has survived a plane crash- the same crash that killed four other people in 2008.

He told Rolling Stone that he looked “death right in the face.”

The All the Small Things crooner suffered second-and third-degree burns due to the harrowing accident.

Jeremy Renner:

The Hawkeye actor was critically injured in a snowplow accident on his property in Reno, Nevada.

To save his nephew from being crushed by the plow, Jeremy stepped onto the machine’s moving wheel tracks.

His injuries consisted of over 30 broken bones, a collapsed lung, a pierced liver, and his left eye being “squeezed out of its orbital socket.”
