Ageing like fine wine: Stars who keep it real about getting older
Check out which female stars have gracfeully opened up about ageing

With many Hollywood stars hesitant to admit their age, there are others who embrace the good that ageing brings in life.
Here are the celebrities who have refreshingly gotten real about ageing:
Sarah Jessica Parker
The Sex and the City alum expressed frustration over the ageist comments women tend to constantly receive.
She shared that these remarks exhibit misogyny as they are somehow only directed at women.
“I’m sitting with Andy Cohen and he has a full head of gray hair, and he’s exquisite. Why is it okay for him? I don’t know what to tell you people! Especially on social media,” Sarah told Vogue in 2021.
The actress added, “I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?”
Gwyneth Paltrow
The Iron Man actress shared how women are always looking at themselves with a “critical eye,” and she wants to stop doing that for herself.
“I would love to get to a place where I don’t do that anymore. I want to show up for myself in a more loving way, because it’s all going south from here!” she told People.
Instead of worrying about her wrinkles, she is grateful for the wisdom that comes with her age.
Reese Witherspoon
The Legally Blonde actress revealed that she preferred her 40s to her 20s, as it has brought a “whole bunch of experience” into her life.
“I'm 45. I know who I want to spend time with and who I don't. And that is one of the great things about getting older — it just clears out so much space,” Reese said in a 2021 interview with InStyle.
Angelina Jolie
The Maleficent actress feels “much more comfortable” getting older than she did when she was younger.
“Maybe because… I don’t know… maybe because my mom didn’t live very long, so there’s something about age that feels like a victory instead of a sadness for me […] I’m looking forward to my fifties—I feel that I’m gonna hit my stride,” Angelina explained to British Vogue.
Jennifer Lopez
Nobody can stop the On The Floor hitmaker from feeling youthful and timeless at every age.
“At some point aging is going to happen, but until then, you decide how strong you're going to be,” Jennifer told Red.
