Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that can make it hard to fall asleep or stay asleep. It can also cause you to wake up too early and not be able to get back to sleep. 

It leaves you feeling mentally and physically drained, affecting your mood and energy levels. It disrupts not only your personal life but also your professional life.

Here are the Hollywood stars who have opened up about struggling with sleep and insomnia:

George Clooney

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2012, the Batman & Robin actor revealed that he has a difficult time getting to sleep and that he wakes up as many as five times per night.

Five years later, George shared that he had somehow resolved his earlier issue with insomnia, but it had been replaced by sleep deprivation following the birth of his newborns.

Mariah Carey

The television host has disclosed that he deals with narcolepsy, a neurological disorder that affects the brain’s ability to control sleep-wake cycles.

Jimmy has described experiencing sudden sleep attacks, which is the main symptom of narcolepsy.

Lady Gaga

The Born This Way artist has a difficult time sleeping due to her incredibly demanding career.

She has spoken about having an “overactive mind,” which makes it hard for her to relax and fall asleep.

Jennifer Aniston

The Friends alum has been transparent about her struggle with racing thoughts that interfere her sleep.
