From actors and musicians to famous public figures, let's look at some famous Hollywood celebrities who have struggled with vision loss:

1. Johnny Depp

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor just like his character Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie is blind in one eye and near-sighted in the other.

Depp during an interview with Rolling Stone in 2013 revealed his visual impairment, saying, "I’ve never had proper vision."

According to the Jeanne du Barry star, everything is just very, very blurry.

2. APL.DE.AP

The Black Eyed Peas band’s rapper was born with nystagmus, which causes involuntary eye movement, and was legally blind in both eyes.

"I’m comfortable not using my vision,” the rapper, whose real name Allan Pineda Lindo Jr., once told People magazine.

He also had artificial lenses implanted in both eyes to improve his vision in 2012.

3. Mila Kunis

The Black Swan actress was blind in one eye for many years due to a condition called chronic iritis, which caused a cataract and vision loss in that eye.

Kunis, who is married to Ashton Kutcher, revealed about her health condition in 2011 and later had successful cataract surgery to restore her sight by replacing the clouded lens with a clear one.

4. Kristen Bell

The Nobody Wants This actress has strabismus, a condition known as a "lazy eye" or "crossed eyes."

It is a condition where a person’s eyes do not look in the same direction simultaneously.

Bell has been open about the condition, noting it can become more apparent when she is tired and has even given her lazy eye the nickname "Wonky".

According to the actress, she inherited the condition from her mother.

5. Dame Judi Dench

The Academy Award winner announced in 2012 that she has age-related macular degeneration but intends to keep working.

"I’m not going to make it something that’s going to stop me," Dench told People magazine.

Moreover, for her starrer movies like Spectre and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, the actress requested her movie scripts with larger print.
