King Charles III extended a warm welcome to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Windsor Castle on Thursday, marking another moment of solidarity between the United Kingdom and Ukraine.

Zelenskyy arrived for the unannounced visit, where he was greeted by the King with a regal ceremony that included the Ukrainian national anthem and an inspection of the Guard of Honor by the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards.

The meeting took place shortly after King Charles returned from his audience with Pope Leo in Italy.

The two leaders have met several times since the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022, but this public display at Windsor represented a more formal and symbolic gesture of support.

Following the inspection, King Charles and President Zelenskyy were seen sharing a cordial conversation in the castle’s quadrangle.

Zelenskyy’s visit to the UK comes ahead of key European talks in London focusing on efforts to end the ongoing war.

The UK has remained one of Ukraine’s strongest allies, offering military training, weapons, and humanitarian support.

The royal family, including Prince William, Princess Anne, and Prince Harry, has also shown consistent advocacy for Ukraine and its people.
