Buckingham Palace has shared a heartwarming update on Princess Anne as reports emerged of a fresh setback for her brother, Prince Andrew, whose royal banner was reportedly removed from Windsor Castle.

King Charles III’s office released new photos of the Princess Royal on the royal family’s official Instagram, capturing her visit to Surbiton, where she met residents of the Royal Star & Garter.

It marked her first visit since succeeding her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, as Patron of the charity.

The Palace stated, “The Princess Royal has spent time with residents of the Royal Star & Garter, where loving, compassionate care and support is given to veterans and their families, living with disability or dementia.”

It added, “This marks Her Royal Highness’s first visit since succeeding Queen Elizabeth II as Patron, who held the role from 1953 until 2022.”

Royal fans flooded the post with admiration, with one commenting, “Wonderful. That’s the right royal to send. So much empathy.”

This week, Princess Anne also visited the British Racing School, Newmarket Pony Academy, and a Save the Children shop in Yorkshire, continuing her late mother’s legacy of service and compassion.
