The announcement of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s relocation to Sandringham Estate has sparked mixed reactions from Norfolk locals after King Charles officially stripped him of all of his remaining royal titles.

The 76-year-old Monarch, who is also Andrew’s elder brother, has formally rescinded his Prince and Duke of York titles, as well as his HRH designation.

In addition, Andrew has agreed to leave his Royal Lodge residence in Windsor.

Although several visitors to the Norfolk estate on Friday endorsed the decision to strip Andrew of his titles due to his alleged ties with Jeffrey Epstein, many also expressed their concerns about his relocation to the area.

The idea of the former Prince settling at Sandringham has left locals uneasy, who are afraid that his presence could tarnish their traditionally peaceful area.

Residents enjoying their estate’s cafe and scenic grounds openly voiced their support and approval for King’s decision.

As reported by GB News, retired office worker Susan Larkins, 70, from South Wootton, remarked that it was “way past time” for Andrew to lose his titles, labelling him “a horrible man” and declaring, “We don’t want him up here.”

Long time resident Vanessa Beech, who has spent four decades living in the area, also agreed with Charles’ decision saying he "most certainly" did the right thing.

However, news of Andrew moving to Norfolk was not met well with many locals.

A 72-year-old retired carer Jackie Cruickshank from King’s Lynn, expressed, "I just hope when he does come here they (the media) don't ruin it with all the photographers, because they're not going to let him go are they?"
