Prince William, Kate Middleton's new move comes amid Prince Andrew fallout
Prince William and Kate Middleton's latest move marks a subtle royal transition
Prince William and Kate Middleton have temporarily moved closer to their disgraced paternal uncle, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, ahead of his departure from Royal Lodge.
According to The Telegraph, the Prince and Princess of Wales officially moved into Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park on Saturday, November 1, after deciding to leave their previous home, Adelaide Cottage, earlier this year.
William and Kate, along with their three children, were initially expected to settle into Forest Lodge by Christmas. However, construction was completed ahead of schedule, prompting the family to move in at the start of November.
The eight-room Georgian mansion offers a range of upgraded features compared to their previous four-room home, including six bathrooms, a sunken fence for privacy, a tennis court, and a large pond.
Royal expert Rebecca English told the Daily Mail in August that the couple intends to remain at Forest Lodge on a permanent basis, even after William eventually ascends to the throne.
This major update on Prince WIlliam and Princess Kate comes after Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was stripped of his titles and will no longer be referred to as a prince or His Royal Highness, according to a statement shared by Buckingham Palace on Thursday, October 30.
