The Prince Andrew saga entered a new chapter this week, as his official profile on the royal family’s website has vanished following the removal of his title and honours.

On October 30, King Charles III announced a formal process to remove Andrew’s style, titles, and honours.

Once known as the Duke of York, Andrew will now go by the name Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Initially, Andrew’s biography was merely downgraded on Royal. UK, appearing beneath the page of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Yet by November 3, the page no longer functioned as a link, now leads to the message: “The requested page could not be found.”

Despite losing his royal titles, Andrew remains eighth in line to the throne; the line of succession page still lists him as “Duke of York.”

Changing this section requires an act of Parliament, meaning the update lags behind the unprecedented title removal.

A Palace source told PEOPLE that King Charles felt compelled to act. “Andrew had been given so many chances and opportunities … he would find it quite painful.”

Official documents reflect the scale of this transformation. Andrew will also be in talks to leave his longtime residence at Royal Lodge.
