The late Queen Elizabeth stood by then-Duke of York even as pressure mounted for her to distance the monarchy from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, a new royal biography claims.

Royal author Robert Jobson writes in his upcoming book “The Windsor Legacy”  that the late monarch’s loyalty to her second son “never wavered,” according to excerpts cited by the Daily Mail.

Jobson claims the Queen remained "fiercely loyal to Andrew" throughout the Epstein affair and "shielded him as Palace insiders continued to push for his exile.”

According to another excerpt, the Queen reportedly told a trusted confidant, “You have to remember, he is my son.”

Her support, however, didn’t stop her from taking official action. On January 13, 2022, amid growing public outrage and a civil sexual assault lawsuit filed in the U.S. by Virginia Giuffre, the Queen stripped Andrew of his military titles and royal patronages.
