Jonathan Bailey reveals why he was expelled from university

After being crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025, Jonathan Bailey surprised fans with a candid confession.

It turns out he had enrolled himself in nine online university courses but failed to follow through.

During his chat with People, the 37-year-old star shared that he had signed up for several Open University courses in hopes to continue his education but couldn’t follow through with them which eventually got him expelled from the online institution.

"I didn’t finish Open University, where you study from home. I signed up for about nine different courses, not realizing if you didn’t finish them, you would get expelled," he admitted.

"So I didn’t finish my volcanoes and tsunami course, or my Leonardo da Vinci course. I did finish my music course, but just at that point, I got expelled," Jonathan added, before expressing his willingness to go back and finish his studies.

"Hopefully that’ll be something I can go back to."

When questioned if he actually intends to return to his studies, the Wicked star confirmed that he does want to continue his education, playfully saying, "I do, yeah. I want to know ... what happens with volcanoes."
