Did Meghan Markle give a subtle nod to Princess Diana amid return to acting?

Cameras caught Meghan Markle wearing a striking watch that Royal fans believe once belonged to Prince Harry’s late mother Princess Diana.

On the Close Personal Friends set, the 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex was seen sporting a gold watch that stood out from her typical Diana jewelry choices.

According to observers, the watch resembles a Panthère de Cartier model, a style said by royal biographer Judy Wade to be among Dodi Al Fayed extravagant presents to Diana.

Judy detailed how Dodi Al Fayed, the son of Harrod’s owner, often showered the late Princess with lavish gifts and once presented her with "a huge box of tropical fruit and a roomful of pink roses."

The high-end watch range now carries a market value of up to £138,000.

The elegant piece is seemingly from several heirlooms from Diana’s collection that have seemingly passed down to the Duchess since her wedding to the Duke of Sussex in 2018.

Meghan paired the watch with several meaningful jewellery pieces during the Wednesday, November 5, shoot.

Her stunning £120,000 engagement ring, designed by her husband, Prince Harry, features a diamond from Botswana, marking their first holiday spot, and two smaller gems from Princess Diana’s collection.

Alongside her ring, she wore her £10,000 Welsh gold wedding band, which was gifted to the Duchess by the late Queen Elizabeth II as part of a royal tradition.

For the unversed, after an eight year long hiatus, the Suits alum is returning to Hollywood after leaving her role as Rachel Zane to marry Prince Harry.

According to production insiders, Meghan had been offered many roles, but "this one felt right."

The sources also revealed that Harry is fully on board with her return.
