Prince William returns to the UK just in time for Remembrance Sunday
Prince William joins royal family to mark Remembrance Sunday
Prince William returned to his home country after a significant tour of Brazil, just in time for Remembrance Sunday, November 9.
Joining Kate Middleton and the rest of the royal clan, led by King Charles, the Prince of Wales adorned his grey wool coat with a red poppy pin — symbol of remembrance since 1921.
“On Remembrance Sunday, we pause to reflect on the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of all who have served – and continue to serve – in defence of our freedoms. We remember them, today and always,” the official Instagram page representing Kensington Palace captioned a post which featured multiple snaps from the Remembrance Day parade.
In one of the slides, the Princess of Wales can also be spotted dressed in an all-black ensemble, signifying the somber nature of the occasion.
Previously, Prince William had missed the royal family’s gathering at London’s Royal Albert Hall to mark the Festival of Remembrance, on November 8.
During that turnout, the future monarch’s eldest son, Prince George had accompanied his mother and other senior members of the Firm.
