Anna Wintour reveals her take on Jeff Bezos and his wife sponsoring Met Gala 2026
Anna Wintour has shared her verdict about Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos being chosen as the next Met Gala’s sponsors.
Praising the Amazon founder’s wife, the former editor-in-chief for Vogue told CNN, “I think Lauren is going to be a wonderful asset to the museum and to the event.”
“I’m very grateful for her incredible generosity, and she’s a great lover of costume and obviously of fashion, so we’re thrilled she’s part of the night,” she added.
Wintour had vacated her longtime position as the head of the foremost fashion publication in June earliet this year, with Chloe Malle replacing her.
Though she is still part of the magazine’s network — as Vogue’s Global Creative Director and its parent company, Condé Nast’s Chief Content Officer.
Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez Bezos, were recently announced as Met Gala’s sponsors — a role typically entrusted with a major fashion house — for the ceremony which will take place on May 4, 2026.
