Will Kate Middleton host Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie at her upcoming Christmas concert?
Kate Middleton’s ‘Together at Christmas’ event will be celebrated on December 5
Kate Middleton will return to host her annual Christmas carol, Together at Christmas, on December 5. And while her cousins-in-law, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, have regularly attended the celebrations, speculations have risen about whether this year will be the same amid the York household’s scandal.
Though Beatrice and Eugenie’s parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, were recently stripped of their royal titles and status, the Princesses of York have retained theirs. As they gradually make their public return under recent circumstances, experts are sharing whether they will accept the Princess of Wales’ latest invitation — which has been extended.
“Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie received personal invitations for this year’s ‘Together at Christmas’ from Princess Catherine’s office,” Neil Sean, a British broadcaster and royal commentator, told Fox News Digital.
He further outlined the royal sisters’ dilemma by adding, “If they don’t attend, it looks like they’re snubbing a prestigious invite. If they do attend, they know there could be a media circus with them at the center of attention.”
However, Sean emphasised that Together at Christmas is “Catherine’s project” and she subsequently gets the “final say” on who will be able to attend the annual festive tradition.
“This is Catherine’s project, and she has the final say — very similar to the way Prince William operates Earthshot. Above all, yes, the royal family wants to be seen as united amid what has been a very difficult year,” the royal expert explained.
It is worth noting that ever since the concert’s inception in 2021, the ex-Prince Andrew has never been invited to join it, unlike his daughters.
While Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s appearance at Together at Christmas remains to be seen, the Kate Middleton-founded ceremony will be observed on December 5, where she will be joined by celebrity guests like Kate Winslet, Hannah Waddingham, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
