King Charles stuns with £200 blanket made from his own royal flock at Sandringham
The timing couldn’t be better as Britain moves into the cold, festive season
King Charles has made a notable move in sustainable royal enterprise. Sandringham Estate is now selling luxury woollen blankets crafted from the monarch’s own flock, reported by HELLO!.
The throws, described by the estate as “100% Sandringham wool,” are available in the Sandringham gift shop for approximately £200 each.
The material comes from Aberfield sheep that graze across the estate’s organic pastures.
Around 3,000 of the hardy, soil-friendly animals roam the grounds, contributing nutrients back into the land as part of the estate’s regenerative farming system.
Moreover, the blankets are being positioned as fully traceable, estate-made luxury — an example of hyper-local craftsmanship that marries land stewardship with high-end retail.
This is not Sandringham’s first foray into wool goods. The estate has partnered with British bedding makers in the past to create duvets and mattresses using Aberfield fleece, integrating the royal household’s dedication to traditional British craftsmanship.
The timing couldn’t be better as Britain moves into the cold, festive season. The thick, green-hued blankets arrive as a practical luxury — heirloom-style pieces that align perfectly with Sandringham’s public aesthetic.
