Prince William, Prince Harry headed for unwanted reunion? Here’s how

Prince William and Prince Harry must prepare for “a potential awkward reunion” due to their indisputably shared interest — football.

According to GB News, both of the brothers are “planning to attend matches” at next year’s FIFA World Cup in the North American territories and could therefore, reunite without intending to, if they happen to be attending the same matches.

“The siblings have maintained no contact since Prince Harry’s memoir was published in January 2023, yet both intend to support England and the other Home Nations during the tournament,” GB’s report added.

While England is the most obvious choice of support for both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex, other British nations which could feature in the 2026 World Cup include Wales and Northern Ireland, only one of whom would qualify if they manage to win their playoff games in March. Scotland is the other country which has already qualified for the tournament.

Though Prince William would notably need to travel for the sports championship, Prince Harry would find the games closer to home as a current American resident.

Meanwhile, the World Cup will kick off on June 11, 2026, set to be co-hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico.
