Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice skipped Together at Christmas, hosted by Kate Middleton, despite being invited to attend the latest ceremony.

Following their glaring absence, Eugenie took to her official Instagram and acknowledged the matter on her sister’s behalf as well.

“Wish Bea and I could have been celebrating tonight with our family,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “Wishing @princeandprincessofwales such a special evening at her incredible carol service. What an amazing message of love and hope.”

While Eugenie was also unable to attend last year’s concert, Beatrice’s absence this year specially stood out since she has been present for the event every year since its inauguration in 2021.

According to PEOPLE, “Until now, Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, had gone to the Christmas carol service every year since Princess Kate launched the event in 2021. In 2023 and 2024, the couple made it a family night out by bringing Christopher Woolf, 9, Edo’s son from a previous relationship. Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie went to the carol service in 2021, 2022 and 2023, attending with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, three years ago.”

While the official reason behind the Princesses of York’s absence at the 2025 Together at Christmas has not been reported, the royal sisters have notably trimmed down their public appearances since their parents, ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, were stripped of their titles and royal status due to the Epstein scandal.
