Kate Middleton will reportedly have the final say on where Prince George, her eldest and the monarchy’s future heir, goes for his senior schooling.

According to The Telegraph, the 12-year-old royal successor is all set to attend his mother’s alma mater, the Marlborough College.

While he is currently enrolled at Lambrook school alongside his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, George will transfer schools in 2026 as he enters his 13th year of age.

Prince William and Princess Kate’s eldest son was formerly rumoured to be joining Eton, the same school his father had famously attended.

Furthermore, George has been linked to various institutes over the past two years — however, Telegraph’s columnist Sophia Money-Coutts believes that she has finally cracked the code this time around.

“A well-connected friend called me last week. ‘He’s going to Marlborough’, she said authoritatively,” she reported. “‘They’ve sent letters out to parents’. She meant Prince George. After many years of debate, Prince George will reportedly go to Marlborough College next September, like his mother, aunt, and uncle before him, and those with children in the same house have been quietly alerted.”

While the journalist has left room for error, claiming that “she could be wrong, my friend,” she added that her source “isn’t often wrong” and Prince George may very well be confirmed for enrollment at Kate Middleton’s old school, Marlborough College.
