Prince William keeps Princess Diana’s legacy alive celebrating 20-Year cause
The Princes of Wales visits new Centrepoint offices in London as a patron of the homelessness charity
Prince William recently honoured late mom Princess Diana’s legacy as he celebrated 20th anniversary as patron of the homelessness charity Centrepoint.
The Princess of Wales visited the new offices in London on December 9, to mark milestone anniversary with staff and people who have been supported by the charity.
Centrepoint is one of William’s longest patronages which he took over from Diana, Princess of Wales, who first became patron in 1992.
During his visit, the Prince of Wales even helped created the charity’s new Wall of Hope mural, a unique piece co-designed by artist Lanré Olagoke.
For the unversed, Olagoke, who was homeless himself, was awarded an MBE by William.
The Prince of Wales also earned a towering cake from baker Juliet Sear, who is known for the Bruce Bogtrotter masterpiece in Netflix's Matilda the Musical.
Earlier in the 2024 documentary, Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, he opened up that he’s “already doing it on the school run” as he spoke to his three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, about the issue.
“The first few times, I thought, 'Do I bring this up or should I wait to see if they notice?' Sure enough, they did. They were sort of in silence when I said what was going on,” said the future King.
