Kate Middleton clashes with Queen Camilla on Prince Harry’s return
The Princess of Wales seeks common ground as Queen Camilla opposes Harry’s return
Princess Kate and Queen Camilla are reportedly at odds as they hold opposing views on Prince Harry’s potential return to the UK.
According to Radar Online, the Princess of Wales is said to have a very different stance from the Queen Consort regarding the Duke of Sussex’s return to his home country.
"Camilla wants nothing to do with Harry. She’s revolted by the soft stance Charles is taking at the moment and fully supports William's zero-tolerance, no-forgiveness policy," an insider told the outlet.
However, Kate is reportedly unfazed by Camilla’s position, as sources suggest she is more focused on her own future as monarch.
The 78-year-old Queen is reportedly most worried about the possibility of another tell-all, following the claims Prince Harry made in his memoir Spare, in which he accused her of leaking stories about him and Prince William to the press.
"Camilla and Kate had a poisonous showdown at the palace, and Camilla told Kate flat-out that she’s being naive and reckless — not to mention disloyal toward her husband by refusing to respect his wishes," the tipster claimed.
Meanwhile, Kate is reportedly working harder to encourage reconciliation following the Duke’s rare meeting with King Charles earlier this year.
"It got nasty. Kate’s been very patient and biting her tongue for much of this year over Camilla's bad attitude toward her, but this Harry situation is making things a hundred times more tense," the confidant revealed.
Toward the end, the insider noted, "What really irks her is that these ongoing peace talks shouldn't be happening at all — and they wouldn’t be if Kate hadn't butted in to engineer this path for Harry to get back in touch with his father again.”
It is important to note that Prince Harry requested a security review after meeting King Charles in September, which has since been approved.
