While few movies did really well and earned millions, others have bombed dramatically.

Zootopia 2
Released in November 2025, the animated sequel was a huge success as it surpassed $1.1 billion in global box office revenue.
The movie follows detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they investigate mysterious reptile activity in Zootopia which is led by the fugitive Gary De'Snake.
Made on a budget of $150 million, the film's worldwide opening weekend grossed $556 million, the biggest ever for an animated movie.

F1: The Movie starring Brad Pitt was a hit movie!
The film follows aging former-F1 star Sonny Hayes, played by Pitt, who, after a career-ending crash, reluctantly returns to the sport to mentor hotshot rookie Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris and his struggling team.
Made on a budget between $200 million and $300 million, it grossed over $631 million worldwide.
Lilo & Stitch
Disney's live-action movie became the first Hollywood film of the year to surpass $1 billion at the global box office by July.
The film tells the story of a lonely Hawaiian girl, Lilo, who adopts a mischievous, destructive alien from a shelter, thinking he's a weird dog.
This leads to chaos as his creators, Jumba and Pleakley, try to recapture him, while Lilo's sister Nani struggles to keep their family together.
Made on a budget of $100 million, Lilo & Stitch grossed approximately $1.038 billion worldwide.
A Minecraft Movie
The Jason Momoa starrer was a hit movie.
The movie follows four misfit people from real world —Garrett, played by Momoa), Henry, Natalie, and Dawn who are pulled into the blocky Minecraft Overworld through a mysterious portal.
Made on a budget of $150 million, the movie grossed over $958 million worldwide, with $423.9 million coming from domestic box office sales.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps
The movie was a major hit in 2025! It became the highest-grossing MCU film of the year and one of the top films overall.
The movie focuses on their early days balancing superheroics with family, particularly Sue Storm's pregnancy, culminating in a confrontation with the planet-eater Galactus, who demands their unborn son, Franklin, leading to a tragic battle.
Made on a budget of $200 million, the movie surpassed $500 million globally, setting records in overall top 10 as bigger movies were released later in the year.
Biggest flops
Christy
Starring Sydney Sweeney as boxer Christy Martin, the movie was a major box office flop.
The Irish biopic drama about boxer Christy Martin, played by Sydney Sweeney, and her turbulent life with her trainer/husband.
It suffered one of the worst opening weekends in history for a wide release, earning only about $1.3 million domestically against its budget which was $15 million.
Snow White
The live-action Disney remake of Snow White was a major box office flop.
The movie focuses on a princess, played by Rachel Zegler, who, after fleeing her wicked stepmother, played by Gal Gadot, teams up with a roguish bandit named Jonathan, played by Andrew Burnap and the seven dwarves to reclaim her kingdom.
It is considered one of Disney's most costly failures, failing to break even despite a huge budget by losing hundreds of millions, due to low ticket sales, significant audience backlash, and negative reviews.
The musical fantasy film had a massive budget of around $240–$270 million but only earned only about $206 million worldwide.
The Smashing Machine
The Smashing Machine was a significant box office flop!
The biographical sports drama film follows pioneering MMA fighter Mark Kerr during his rise in the late 1990s UFC.
