Jennifer Lopez makes surprise cameo in ‘Anaconda’ nearly three decades later
The 'Pappi' singer shocks everyone with her appearance in the new ‘Anaconda’ reboot
Jennifer Lopez made an unexpected on-screen return to Anaconda nearly 28 years after starring in the 1997 cult thriller.
The actress turned singer appears as an exaggerated version of herself in the new Anaconda remake, confronting the film’s fictional director, played by Jack Black.
In the scene, Lopez questions the unauthorized remake before revealing her real motive: recruiting him to direct another installment.
“I saw your little movie, and I loved it,” Lopez said, adding “That’s why I’m here.”
Black’s character promptly faints before responding.
Previously, Lopez famously starred in the original Anaconda alongside Jon Voight, Ice Cube, and Owen Wilson, playing a documentarian trapped in the Amazon with a deadly snake hunter.
The new film follows two friends, portrayed by Black and Rudd, as they attempt to remake Lopez’s movie, only to encounter a real snake during production.
Lopez previously described filming the original as physically demanding but memorable, calling it “a rough gig” that ultimately proved rewarding.
