'Stranger Things 5': Five possible endings of bittersweet finale

Stranger Things is gearing up for its final showdown in Season 5 after nine years.

The creators of the show, the Duffer Brothers, hinted at a bittersweet ending.

The only meaning to their hint is that some of the audience’s favourite characters might not have a happy ending.

This devastating thought has led fans on into wondering who will. Is it Will or Eleven? Who will die? So, let's dive into the most likely possible endings of the sci-fi Netflix series:

Eleven's ultimate sacrifice

As hinted in the last episode of Season 5’s Volume 2, Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, might sacrifice herself to destroy the Upside Down.

She might choose her friends’ safety over hers.

Moreover, this conclusion would be indeed devastating ye logical, considering her powers can pose danger to others.

Fate of Number Eight

In the new episodes, it was the character Number 8, whose real name is Kali Prasad, played by Linnea Berthelsen, who has been convincing Eleven that they should stay together and abandon their normal lives.

Not only she encouraged her sister to live as outcasts but also made a point that people like Dr. Brenner would never stop hunting them untill they disappear.

Twist in Vecna's ending

The main evil Vecna aka Henry Creel, played by Jamie Campbell Bower, might have a redemption arc, revealing he's working to destroy the Mind Flayer.

This twist would add depth to the story and flip the script on the villain.

Real vs reel

Unsafe destiny of Will Byers

The fate of Will, played by Noah Schnapp, seemingly isn't safe and is in jeopardy.

The tragic ending could include him as he has been connected to Vecna from the start.

Even in the fourth and episode, Will used his new powers to destroy Demogorgons, and later he entered Vecna’s mind.

Because of this twisted situation, Will could die when Vecna and the Demogorgons are finally defeated by Eleven.

Reset

The finale might involve time travel and reset the whole timeline, with Eleven or Will traveling back to prevent the Upside Down's creation, leading to a reset of the timeline, changing the course of events.

Well after all the possible five different endings, Gossip Herald believes the creators of the show could also kill off a new supporting character instead from the main cast.
