Florida man sues steakhouse after toilet collapses beneath him

A Florida man is taking a famous steakhouse to court after suffering ‘injuries’ from a handicap toilet that collapsed beneath him.

According to a lawsuit filed in Ocala, Michael Green alleges the toilet he was using ‘suddenly shattered and collapsed’ beneath him at the Outback on Southwest College Road.

The incident, which Green says occurred during a routine trip to the restaurant’s facilities, reportedly caused him ‘severe bodily injury.’

Court records detail that the injuries range from ‘significant and permanent loss of an important bodily function’ to a ‘loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life,’ suggesting the mishap had an impact on both his health and daily activities.

Green’s complaint accuses the steakhouse of negligence, claiming the restaurant failed to ensure the toilet was properly fixed and created an ‘unreasonably dangerous condition’ for the public.

The complainant is seeking $50,000 in damages.
