X and Reddit experience major downtime

Social media platforms X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit have experienced widespread outrage today, that affected users globally.

X had a considerable outage earlier in the day, and outage monitoring site Downdetector reported thousands of users complaining difficulty accessing timelines, posting content, or logging in. 

Although the disruptions were later alleviated, the interruption triggered frustration and immediate discussions in other networks in a move to get updates. 

A few minutes later, Reddit too reported a massive outage that affected users all across the world to load feeds or to access communities. 

It is reported that other social media apps were also impacted, and the team of Reddit website were investigating the causes of the high error rate and implemented fixes.
