Prince William set for Saudi Arabia visit next month
The Prince of Wales will carry out a three-day visit to the Kingdom from February 9 to 11
Prince William has been set to make his first official visit to Saudi Arabia next month at the request of the UK Government.
The Prince of Wales has carried out a three-day visit to the Kingdom from February 9 to 11, as the two nations have moved closer to marking a century of diplomatic relations.
Kensington Palace has confirmed the visit, explaining it has taken place as the UK and Saudi Arabia have continued to strengthen trade, energy and investment ties.
A palace spokesman has said the trip marked William’s first official visit to Saudi Arabia, with further details expected to follow in due course.
Although the 43-year-old royal has not previously visited Saudi Arabia, he has traveled to neighboring countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
The visit has also marked William’s first official overseas engagement of 2026 and his first Middle East trip since his 2023 visit to Kuwait following the death of Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
William’s trip has come just over a year after UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during a December 2024 visit aimed at boosting Britain’s economy.
Meanwhile, the heir to the throne has previously revealed he has felt “excited” about bringing change when he eventually becomes king, adding that reform has remained firmly on his agenda.
