The search for a new home has become increasingly fraught for Sarah Ferguson, forcing the Duchess to reconsider her path.

This domestic upheaval follows the stark new reality facing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor at Marsh Farm.

Despite a life previously spent being served hand and foot, the lack of live-in staff at the new property means his ex-wife, who shared his home for years, has also been forced to “lower her expectations” regarding what is possible.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a well-placed source revealed that while the Duchess “would prefer to stay in the Windsor area” due to her current “fragile state,” the unsettling reality is that “she's really not sure what the future holds.”

These recent developments have reportedly taken a heavy toll on her mental health. The possibility of moving in with her children remains uncertain.

The Times reports that although “relations are warmer between Ferguson and the couple's daughters, but no offer of permanent accommodation has been extended to their mother.”

Consequently, “for now, Andrew and Sarah have a housing crisis. It may mean that they have to lower their expectations about the sort of lifestyle they wish to lead.”

According to The Sun, Andrew has finally inspected the five-bedroom house that marks his downsizing.

Sources suggest “it was the first time he's seen his new house, and he is resigned to the fact that this is his future. He's come to the conclusion that he has to get on with the rest of his life and accepts he has to make the best of it.”
