Anthropic has updated the homepage of its AI assistant, Claude, using the refresh to clearly distinguish its product from competitors and reinforce one key message: no advertising.

The redesigned page opens with a conversational introduction from the assistant itself. “Hey there, I’m Claude. I’m your AI assistant for working, imagining, and deep thinking,” the message reads.

Beneath that greeting, Anthropic outlines what it says sets Claude apart, emphasising open-ended questions, built-in safety guardrails, and ad-free conversations. “I won’t show you ads. My focus is being genuinely helpful to you,” the page states.

The timing of the update appears deliberate. It arrives just days after Anthropic released a series of ads poking fun at the idea of advertising within AI chats.

One spot humorously shows a simple fitness query spiraling into a promotional pitch, highlighting concerns about how commercial pressures could shape future AI tools.

Online reaction was swift. One user on X shared a screenshot of the new homepage, commenting that Anthropic “won’t stop cooking OpenAI” and pointing to the prominent mention of “ad-free chats” on the welcome screen.

That same message featured prominently in Anthropic’s Super Bowl advertising debut. The commercial ended with a pointed tagline: “Ads are coming to AI, but not to Claude.”

Together, the homepage refresh and recent ad campaign underscore Anthropic’s effort to position Claude as a user-focused alternative at a time when monetisation strategies across the AI industry are under increasing scrutiny.
