Wellness influencer Gabriela Martins Santos de Moura dies at 31 after IVF complications
The influencer was in a coma for eight days before her passing
Wellness influencer and therapist Gabriela Martins Santos de Moura has died at 31 following complications from an in vitro fertilization procedure, according to Brazilian outlet G1.
Family members confirmed that Gabriela Martins Santos de Moura suffered cardiorespiratory arrest at a private clinic in São Paulo while undergoing the fertility treatment.
She was transferred to a hospital and remained in a coma for eight days before her death on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Her family also authorized the donation of her organs, her cousin Nahiza Monteles told the outlet.
The Brazilian content creator, whose Instagram bio highlighted her work in mindfulness, positive psychology and neuroscience, built a following by sharing courses and reflections centered on emotional well-being and self-knowledge.
She often encouraged her audience to pursue growth and live intentionally.
Gabriela Martins Santos de Moura’s death came one day after her eighth wedding anniversary with her husband, hand surgeon Samuel Moura. The couple married in February 2018.
Tributes have since poured in across social media. Family member Enilson Campelo de Carvalho described her as someone who “lived everything intensely” and pursued her dreams without hesitation.
Friend and mindfulness advocate Camilla Guimarães remembered her as a source of “unconditional love” and inspiration, saying she “always lifted you up and applauded you as if you were the most special person in the world.”
