He emphasised that these oils act as "tiny drops of powerful support" for immunity, gut health, and energy. Dr Chopra noted, “From immunity to gut health, skin to energy - each oil has a role, if you know how to use it right. Because with healing oils, it’s not more, it’s smarter.”

Internal and external applications

The cardiologist highlighted several oils with specific instructions for safe use:

  • Black seed oil: Take half a teaspoon with warm water for immune support; avoid during pregnancy.
  • Flaxseed oil: Consume one teaspoon raw for omega-3 benefits; do not heat this oil.
  • Castor oil: Use occasionally with warm milk for detoxification; not suitable for daily use.
  • Sesame oil: Use for cooking or massages to strengthen bones; avoid in hot body conditions.
  • MCT oil: Add a teaspoon to smoothies for quick energy; start slowly to avoid gut discomfort.
  • Almond oil: One teaspoon raw supports brain health; avoid if nut allergies are present.
  • Neem oil: For external use only to support scalp health; do not consume internally.
  • Amla oil: Safe for external application only to provide cooling hair and scalp support.

Safety and smarter usage

Dr Chopra stressed that excessive intake should always be avoided. While flaxseed oil supports hormone balance and sesame oil improves skin health, the effectiveness lies in the method of delivery.
