Colombian superstar Karol G has revealed she is considering using her upcoming headline performance at Coachella to speak out against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In a candid cover interview for the Spring 2026 issue of Playboy, the "Tusa" singer admitted she has harboured the desire to address the agency’s operations for some time but was previously deterred by the potential for severe professional repercussions.

She noted that vocalising such views carries significant personal risk, particularly regarding her legal status in the United States. "People will say, 'It's better you don't,'" she explained, adding, "Why? Because if you say the thing, maybe the next day you'll get a call: 'Hey, we are taking your visa away.’ You become bait, because some people want to show their power."

The singer acknowledged that her internal circle has advised caution, jokingly remarking that her "team would kill" her for adopting the "ICE Out" slogan famously used by Bad Bunny during his 2026 Grammy Awards acceptance speech.

However, she suggested that her position as a global representative for the Latin community necessitates taking a stand. "But I'm willing to say it. If I'm being honest with you, it's something that crosses the line of what I have to do to protect myself. But at the end of the day, what is my role if I'm in this position?" she questioned.

Karol G is scheduled to make history on 12 April as the first Latina artist to headline the prestigious festival in Indio, California.

While the risks remain high, the singer indicated a desire for her words to have a meaningful impact beyond simple slogans. Karol G previously achieved global success with her record-breaking album Mañana Será Bonito.
