Princess Beatrice's father-in-law speaks out on son's marriage
The eldest daughter of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson tied the knot in 2020
Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi generally keep their family affairs under wraps, but Edoardo's father recently gave an uncommon and interesting insight amidst news about the couple's marriage.
Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, aged 74, was asked regarding possible marital issues between the cherished royal and his son, a property developer.
Nonetheless, the Italian nobleman provided a rather ambiguous reply, clearly indicating he wishes to avoid any involvement in the speculation.
"I have plenty of opinions, but I am not going to talk about them," he stated to the Daily Mail, adding: "It's not my concern, you should go and talk to my son about it."
Just last month, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo were seen together dining at Eel Sushi Bar in Notting Hill, seemingly showing a united front.
Their outing happened mere days after friends of the couple exclusively told HELLO! that rumors about them dealing with marital problems were "completely untrue."
A source explained that the couple, like many others, are handling "balancing" time apart due to work obligations alongside family life, as Edo has been traveling abroad on several occasions.
They shared: "The only challenge Bea and Edo are facing is their hectic work schedules and caring for their children! They've both been engaged in international work trips and, like so many working parents, have been managing both career and parenting responsibilities."
"Recent reports suggesting issues between them are not accurate. Everything is going well in their relationship, and any separation has been purely physical due to their work commitments!"
In recent weeks, Beatrice has been keeping a low profile following her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest in February.
He was detained on charges of misconduct in public office during his role as a trade envoy for the UK.
The eldest daughter of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson tied the knot with the Italian businessman and property developer in an intimate ceremony in 2020.
Since their wedding, the 37-year-old royal and her 42-year-old husband have become parents to two daughters, Sienna Elizabeth and Athena Elizabeth Rose, and Beatrice also takes on the role of stepmother to Edoardo's son, Christopher Woolf.
